one deflated mushroom and one bleached mushroom...

Ok.. I got some live rock on Sunday.. there were two mushrooms on it. One had fallen back behind some rock in the other person's tank and was extremely bleached... it seems to be doing better every day (is there something I should be doing for it to help it along?)

The other one has some color.. but is rather deflated looking..at least to me anyway... flat as a pancake basically. I tested her water and this is what it had been living in:

PH 8.8
Ammonia 8.0
Nitrite .25
Nitrate 10

it's in better water conditions now.. but should I be doing anything else to help it?

Your PH is high. Try to get it down to b/w 8.0-8.2. Do some water changes to get the amonia=0, trite=0 & trate <5.

You will have some die off on rock you just put in. It will cause a cycle.

was your ammonia really at 8.0?

that's was the original owner's water specs!

Mine are no where near that...

The mushrooms are in a PH of 8.2 and ammonia of 0 right now.. acclimating them was interesting though.. I don't think they were very happy in her tank...

So any suggestions on what to do to get them back to being happy healthy mushies?

They'll come back. I had a rock with NOTHING on it and out came some mushrooms. They might die off but I don't think they ever go away.

Oh Sorry! I misread your post.
Wow, sounds like you did those mushrooms a big favor by saving them.

In that case, I think you can just leave them alone and they will recover just fine. Mushrooms don't need much in the way of special care.
