You initially posted this in the announcement thread so I've taken the liberty of splitting it into a separate thread where people will notice it.
Keeping liverock healthy and free of nuisance algae basically just requires good water quality, some grazing animals and adequate circulation. Good water quality is maintained by limiting nutrient input (ie. use a pure water source like RO, don't overfeed, etc.), maximizing nutrient export (ie. good skimmer, water changes, etc.) and assuring that basic parameters like temp, pH, SG, etc. stay in target ranges.
