Are there any good filters (sponges) that help in absorbing phosphates and nitrates out of the water? Or should i just avoid them.

Any advice would help.
thanks

need more flow, need a good food. collecting dregs on the rocks increase the phos ratio. you can use anti-phos products. caulerpa' s absorbing them also.

I took some great advice from the reef peeps and varied my diet of frozen foods and lightened up on the pellet foods. This should help with your phos. Also building a fuge will do wonders too. Try to keep as natural as possible. As far as nitrates really good water flow all the way around the tank limit the no flow spots in the tank and good water (reverse water if not ro/di water) and water changes.
