y is my common clown going dark

hi i have a common clown fish hoo as always been bright orange and now his back is going very dark any one els had this happen

Sometimes fish just change as they get older. Could be from environmental conditions, genetic or diet. I have a female maroon clown that is near black and a Hippo Tang that is turning almost all black with very dark blue spots. Fish are like every thing else in the world regarding pigmentation and genetics. They are all a little different.

trido is that your "moron" clown that you're reffering to?

peter, my female maroon is almost black too, but her mate is a dark red. each fish is a little different like trido said.
