Hi,

I use a RO/DI unit to prepare my water, put it in a BRUTE 32 gal trashcan (reserved for new water only), then add salt - I have one powerhead and heatr in the trashcan to mix it/warm it up nicely - The problem - I had about 10 gallons left over from my last water change so kept it in the trashcan and it smells after 4 days...
I will of course clean the trash can using RO water - However, how could I ensure that I can keep prepared water for a few days?

Use food-save, non-odorous container since 10 gal is not that much. I assume the smell is fron the trashcan...

Yeah, I would keep the powerhead circulating it if you want to keep it for a while. I don't know why this keeps it fresh, but it does! :P
