Hair algae growing on sand

if i was to get a blenny or goby, would they eat the hair algae that is growing on my sand bed?

mine does. algae blenny. but these guys are picky eaters as far as i have seen. if you don't have enough algae, he might starve. he won't take the seaweed on a clip.

some people say they do, the one i had did not, people say they are finicky eaters and some people have them for years. I bought some rock with algea on it and i had to get rid of my emerald crabs, they were picking at polyps, so i am hoping i can have one since i think there personality is incredible!!

ive got 2 emerald crabs and they do an awesome job on the rocks, they dont do much on the sand bed though. I had great luck with my qween conch but it died...so i will probably try the algea blenny and see how he works out.

Oh would a sandsifter star do anything?
