I have a 12 gallon NC, with probably about 12 lbs of live rock, 1.5 live sand bed, and chaeto in chamber 2.

Inhabitants:
2 True Perculas
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
1 Randalli Pistol Shrimp
1 Fire Shrimp

I just added the Perculas and Fire Shrimp on Friday. Prior to adding my new inhabitants I tested my water and everything was fine (practically 0-0-0..... MAYBE 0.005 PPM) using Salifert tests.

Cleanup crew: 4 scarlett hermits, 7 nassarius, 4 cerith, 6 astrea

I change a little over 1 gallon of water per week.

I have the following frozen cubes: mysis shrimp, krill, and spirulina fortified brine shrimp. I also have algae sheets and freeze dried (non-fortified) brine shrimp.

How often should I feed?

IMO dump the brine - high in phosphates.

The mysis is fine - I would feed 1/3 cube every other day.

1/3 a cube every OTHER day?

The clowns look SO hungry! A 1/3 of a cube wouldn't leave anyhthing for the goby and the two shrimp would it?

I would feed a 1/2 cube every day. I tend to feed heavy though. Rinse the mysis in RO before adding to the tank. If you suddenly start getting cyano or algea of any sort cut back the portions To a 1/3 daily in the assumption that you are over feeding.

I'd rather have algea than a starved to death fish.

i use a 2 minute rule. add as much food as the "tank" can consume in 2 minutes.
everyone seems to get something, and nothing floating around. i mix it up as best as i can for the little guys.
i get plenty of algae, but it's not from the feeding; it's from the treated tap water
