Brown on live rocks & sand

Hi everyone I"m new to Saltwater and this forum my question is that I Have milk chocolate colored fuzz on some of my rock and on about a quarter of my sand just showed up this morning tank is cycling just started it six days ago is this normal?what is it?

normal...brown algae.
you'll be experiencing quite a few different algae blooms.
especially if you are using tap water or treated tap water. check out my build. you'll see all the stuff i went through.

Mr X is right. You will likely experience a few algea blooms during your cycle. Even in the first year for that matter. My tank is six Mo. and I just had another diatom bloom.
Every tank is different, as is the LR we all put into our tanks. Yours may be worse or less than your neighbor. Brown fuzzy sounds like a diatom bloom at first thought to me. It will pass.

Mr.X is a rebel. I only hope you have a good RO/DI water purifier already set up (or a reputable supplier). A decent RO/DI filter only costs $100 which is really minute considering everything else in this hobby.
