I am about to set up my tank within the next 3 weeks. Just waiting for my sump in the lfs. I have a fw tank now and at night i have a blue fluoresent light. As my tank is a corner tank there is not much room for lighting over the tank. I have seen these LED lights that can be attached to the outside of the tank. Has anyone ever used these or got a better solution, greatly appreciate any info. Thanks.

On this subject does anyone have any opinions on blue vs. white LED lunar lights? Also, I've heard some say lunar light cycles are important for coral spawning, others say that lunar lights don't allow corals to rest properly.

I think the color of the lunar lights are a matter of opinion and what you like to see. personally I like the white better than the blue but that is just me.

question about te lunar lights not letting the corals rest properly? when my lights go out and my lunar lights kick on the corals all close up. But my question is why would this not let them rest? Does the moon let them rest in nature? isn't this the same concept?
just curious

I have been told that it is really important to have lunar lights with corals as they are active at night. This is when they spawn and there was another reason which i have forgot. Been told this by a few people. Not many places in nature will experience pitch black at night time.
