Your main start up stuff….

Tank and stand: ummm don’t ask me lol iv spent 30$ for aquariums I find all my stands and tanks on the road (not 1 had a leak)

Total: $380 (max price on what I listed)
I think this is about right for your start up.

Fish and invertebrates.
Ill make up some other fish for yah.

Ocellaris clownfish (pair M/F): 24 to $30 LFS
Clown goby, yellow: $10 LFS

Bubble anemone: 20 to 30$ LFS

Some Nassarius snails (not needed but would be good): 3 to 5 = 6 to $10

This should about cover that…

Corals (I know a tiny bit more about corals then you do)
This is what I would say for beginners (If you like these read all you can on the internet for the individual needs)
Here is what I would get for a 20.

Candy Cane Coral: $30
Plate Coral: $30
Brain Coral, Pineapple: $35
Colony Polyp: These grow all over the place $40
I did not give a lot only what I thought was good for a 20.

Total: $135 at LFS add 30 to $50 for online (shipping cost).

Other things you may need
Test kit: They start at 30 and go up
I know im for getting a lot of stuff…

Food and chemicals etc. I did not include it can vary.

From what I have listed…

Total: $655 lets add say $200 for what I forgot or did not list…
$850 so 850 to $1000 would be a good guess.

For $50 yes but... For $50 that is cheap for that tank I would think there might be some leaks in it.

If you can get some pictures of every thing it comes with that might answer my question...
Like it has no hood no stand etc.

P.S. Leaks in this size tank should be easy to fix.

ok.. haha well the origional price was 70$ which is still cheap, but she reallly wanted to get rid of it for some reason, but if there are leaks then i can fix them. its worth it to me.

it says the stand it comes with needs work, but im not concerned.
hey its gonna be a little more including shipping- but hey its a deal no matter what, and in case of leakage how would that be fixed

im just gonna hold onto it [the tank]... maybe have a fw tankfor a while.. kill a couple gold fish while im at it... (joking) i have never kept a gold fish for ya know that long of a time.. the longest and favorite of my gold fish were dorothy and toto.. sad.gif i miss them!! ok now enough about my little stories haha they arent important

or maybe i can use it to culture copepods!... hmmm soooo many options!!!

or i can cycle it and put a couple inverts in it for a while and some plants?? hmm maybe start to build it up in a couple months or so, first with the sand and LR... cycle.. myabe get some macro... be a very long term thing (would that be better to make this completely long term... would that make it more stable.?? to add go through each stages months at a time?--or something like that)
thats what i wrote in another forum
i have this same topic listed in i think two other forums so i can get a variety of opinions and options

also what i was talking about above (about the slow build is this)

this reef is also going to be extremely long term like i mentioned in my post before yours listing my options
right now im JUST doing research.... except for getting the tank and sstand because its real cheap and i dont want to miss an opprotunity

i will prolly in the short run either have a fw tank in it (maybe get glow fish they are pretty neat) or start a very prolonged cycling process. though the actual cycle might not be long.. more like a stocking process.

like first add live sand or regular sand with LR. then some macro. maybe throw some copepods in there. then some inverts and a clam seems cool (haha see what youve done kevin)(maybe i'll add that later) snails/shrimp/crabbies
then maybe some frags and mushrooms.(MAYBE) then in a year the clowns, and possibly an anenome if i feel up to it at the time.
