Why fake stuff?

because it was my first tank and the seahorse people said i should get fake stuff for now so i wouldnt have to deal with everything i was planning on getting... however
i am waiting on a shippment of cheato to add the fuge type area of my tank and maybe some to the main if i can find a place for it...

i really like my fake stuff though its more vibrant than real stuff and the fake anenome is glow in the dark haha

also i dont have live rock (except the rock i boiled well that i got from florida beach) because of hydroids/aptisia (sp?) that are very bad in dwar tanks..

because it was my first i wanted to play it super safe. dwarves are very sensitive to many things that other seahorses might be able to live peacefully with

yup i do.. supplies alot overpriced for what i can get online, including shipping

i bought a heater there for i think 20-30$ (i was pressured into buying) and i could have gotten the same one for 15$

but any new tank i get is gonna be not fake!

And 1 question how did your tank cycle with no live rock, live sand or fish??????
How did the bacteria get in?

two things
1) product called Cycle
2) product called Bio-spira (adds LIVE bacteria to the tank)

then added table shrimp for the ammonia

and turned upp the heat
currently
amonia 0
nitrite 1
nitrate? prolly high

Bio-spira is for fresh not salt.

What’s your Specific Gravity, Temperature, PH, KH, N02 and Ammonia (I know I listed stuff you already did).

the seahorse folk said its a good product

temp at the moment is like 80something to encourage bacterial growth (will be brought back down to 72-74 whn i get my poines
ph i think is 8.2-8.4
specific gravity is 1.019 (dwarf seahorse level)
