I currently have two power heads in my 110 gallon reef tank (48" long) I have a tunze 6045 which pumps just under 1200 gph, and a koralina also at 1200 gph. I currently have one in the top right against the back wall and the other on left in the center by the back wall.

I noticed that a reef set up in the LFS had both there powerheads on the back wall, I was wondering if this would make a better overall circulation rather that just direct streams.

I have a couple other powerheads too I could add if it would be importat.

I have mostly shrooms, zoos, LPS, and softies, but SPS soon as I get my Phosphates down

Ideally, you want your powerheads to generate random turbulent flow. Since tanks have different aquascaping (rockwork, overflow boxes, etc), you need trial and error to determine the best locations. Many people start with opposing top corners and adjust from there.

yea seems good now, but tunze 6045 a bit of a disappointment, I definatly think the koralia that produces 1200 gph is superior to thetunze 6045 (which supposedly produces 1200 as well€) especially if you consider the price difference.

Thanks every one for help
