Thinking about adding some leather/mushroom corals to my existing tank. I have a 34 gallon with 2 55W T5 (what does the T5 designate?). Do I have sufficient light and what supplements do I need to add for the corals, right now it's a FOWLR tank.....by the way will my bicolar angel be a problem to the coral?
Thanks

For mushrooms, your lighting is fine and no supplements are required.

Your bicolor angel might be a problem. Maybe you could try adding several at once so the angle won't nip any one to death (most softies are cheap).

no suppliments are needed for MOST corals, other than alk and ca balance. as far as the angel goes, I don't think he will bother anything you have in there. They may nip at sps and some polyps, but you have neither.

T-5 refers to the diameter of the bulb. There's a very simple equation that will tell you exactly how wide the bulb is based on the "T" number, but I can't remember it at the moment. Basically, the larger the number, the larger diameter the bulb.

The number designates the diameter in 1/8" increments. The letter designates the type of lamp. T = Tube style lamp.

So, T-5 are 5/8" diameter tubes, T-8 are 1" diameter, T-12 are 1-1/2" diameter, etc.
