well, i have the remora with maxijet 1200, and the surface skimmer box- i paid 163.00 for the skimmer, and 20 for the box, and i'll sell it for 125+ s&h

people upgrade all the time... that skimmer is perfect for your setup.

there is nothing wrong with the skimmer itself, i just am not happy with it.
i have purchased a sump to house a skimmer, so i will be switching to that by the weekend. yes, paypal is ok. can you wait until the weekend?

1. I don't own an Aqua C Remora or Urchin but if I had a smaller tank, they would be at the top of the list from the research I have done. I have heard that the oversized collection cup they sell as an option on some of their units is somethimes not worth it.
2. When considering a euroreef, which is supposed to be underated by the company's description, is it still better to buy a skimmer designed for a much larger tank?

i don't think an oversized collection cup is necessary. i am including the surface skimmer box, which i believe to be extremely important.

yes, all skimmers are under-rated. euro-reef skimmers are the same size, and use the same pumps as some other skimers, they are just made of heavier guage acrylic and marketed better. :wink:

I went by LFS yesterday...they had aqua C remora with 1200 maxi flow bought it for $149.99 no shippin!!

SOrry I couldn't wait....
