Our sump is comprised of x2 20 gal plexi tanks connected by x3 2in pipes in the middle (due to the design of the stand)
the water flows down from 2 CPR overflows into x2 200 micron filter socks and into the first chamber where the skimmer is housed along with the live rock rubble we recieved from the boxes we purchased...it then flows through a baffle with a poly filter, through the tubes, into the fuge, then through a baffle before it hits the pumps...
i have noticed alot of debris piling up inbetween the live rock rubble in the first chanber as well as the bottom after the poly filter...
should i be concerned about this debris? will it have a major affect on water quality down the road?
if so, would it affect nitrate of phosphate levels?
I just started seeing traces of coralline scattered among the rocks and i dont want to do anything that would stop it...
My parameters are currently :
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate <5
pH 8.2
SG 1.025
Phosphate 5? 10? (API test dont read this too well)
Ca 440ppm
kH 10-11 dKh
Thanks for any input...
