Hello

New member here looking to see If I can gain some knowlwedge.
I have a 75 gallon bare bottom tank which I have had running for almost a year now. I keep some softies in it along with a coral beauty, flame hawk and a percula. I would like to add a fish or two to it but need some ideas. I thought of a colorful damsel but don't really know if that is a good idea which brings me here. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

:welcome:

Most people here would rather not deal with damsels because they tend to be extremely territorial once they've been in your tank for a while. You might be able to get away with a yellow or purple tang with that tank size.

Just my opinion of course. :P

Welcome aboard!

I'd avoid damsels as most of them get nasty as they mature, but some of the chromis species are a relatively peaceful and colorful alternative.

For color, I've always liked Royal Grammas. Captive bred Orchid Dottybacks too. Both tend to be a bit shy, but they're very hardy and have shockingly bright colors.

A mate for your Perc wouldn't be a bad idea either. If you add a small juvi they should eventually pair up.

Personally, in that size tank, I would not add an aggressive tang that grows fairly large (like a Purple tang). IMO a Kole or a Tomini would be fine, however.
