First off, thank you to very one who has responsed you guys are awesome. Now back to heaters, what type of heater i should get (i'm looking for high quality) and how many so sites say 2 others say 1 ?

The idea of having two heaters is so that if one breaks and get stuck on of off, the tank temp will not get too drastically out of wack. Usually I would just say spend some money on a good temperature controller to control the heaters, that way you do not have to rely on a "cheap" link.

I like visi-therm stealth heaters. Are quite accurate IMO. A rule of thumb is any tank over 50 gal should have two heaters.

I like Ebo-Jaeger heaters. As far as adding more heaters for a safety net I can see others point on it, but I have rarely noticed my tanks getting all that cold without a heater (hardly lower than 78, even in winter) And I run my freshwaters without heaters. That said one heater in saltwater tanks
would be fine for all but the coldest homes IMO.
