Hello again all, Ive taken some advice and cleaned out the bottom of my sump as i was having trouble with high nitrate levels, as i was removing the substrate the water turned really dirty , seems there was a lot of detritus in with the sustrate.I also put in some new fine sand back on the bottom of the sump. i think i need to get better filter bags tomorrow. i also took some advice and hooked up a powerglow 40w t8 tube above the sump as i was going to try and setup a rufugium, am i doing the right thing? I have put in a couple of pics to show my setup , any advice please?

That looks really great. I would like to setup a refugium in my 60 g. cube but am still just getting the tank off the ground and am limitted by space.
Is there anyway that you can diagram how it is plumbed or post a couple more pictures?

Thanks mate, Ill try and take some more pics tomorrow, and explain the setup to you , dont quote me on this setup as im not too sure if im doing it right ? lol, :mrgreen:
