Mag Drive 7 or 9.5 for my 55G return?

Hi,

I'm new to the hobby and I'm currently setting up a 55G reef tank with a 29G sump which sits under the stand. The 55G display is an All-Glass Aquarium with a twin flow corner overflow which I plan on buying the Overflow accessory kit for. The accessory kit comes with a 1" and a ¾" bulkhead fitting, which mag drive would better suit my setup?

Hi Jon and :welcome:

Personally I would use the Mag 7. Either would work, but the 7 is more than adequate for your purposes and will use less power and generate less heat. Plan on some additonal in-tank circulation (ie. powerheads, propeller pumps, closed loop, etc.) as well.
