Hi, I want to place a 220 g tank in a recessed alcove that is exactly 72 inches accross. I'm putting in a closed loop system and my only access to the back of the tank would be under the cabient (the sides would be touching the walls) Will this be problematic? If I place my junction valves low down under the cabient, will I be OK? Or should I get a smaller tank?

Thanks

Hi and :welcome:

IMO this is not much different than setting up a tank in the typical "against the wall" scenario. You generally don't have much access behind a tank in that situation either. Assuming this will be a reef - just make sure you've got adequate room above the tank for lighting/ventilation.

Not having access to the sides as well as the back will definitely be inconvenient, but provided you have plenty of space above and below, it sounds workable to me...

ours is sealed in a wall so we have a hard time accessing the sides. We woud be able to if we REALLLLLY needed to...but generally we keep clear of it (besides the occasional wipe down when cleaning the outside of the glass)
