All right, I'm srewed, the guy at the fish store got me! (I know should have done my research first...live and learn). I now have a beautiful 34 gallon tank with a fish (sailfin tang) that can grow up to 15 inches. What the hell do I do now, the store doesn't take the fish back and i don't want to watch the fish die. Do people buy/trade fish? Any info helps

Thanks from clueless...but learning

maybe you can find someone close by to come over and pick it up rather than ship a single fish. also, is it a red sea dejardin sailfin or the other type?

I live in Pittsgrove, New Jersey, about 30 minutes south of Philadelphia. I believe the tang is the other type..not red sea variety
Thanks

I think you've got time. I had a sailfin tang in a 200g for almost 2 years and it grew about 20-30%. They eat like mad. Get him on seaweed as soon as you can. The stuff you buy in the store especially for saltwater fish is crap and mine never ate it. Instead try and get some of the stuff they wrap sushi in. I've never had one brand they liked more than another.

Good Luck
