Needle wheel skimmers are quite good. The Deltec, Euroreef, ASM, etc all preform well.

he's asking about the coralife super skimmer. i know someone who uses one on his prop tank, and he likes it. i think he had to change the pump before he was totally satisfied though. every time i visit, it's full of dark skimmate. seems to be working.

Yes the corallife. I returned the SeaCoral 100 last night. It was working but I tried to see if I could "tune it better" and 2 hours later I still couldnt get it to work again. So back to the store it went. My LFS has the corallife and I would like to get a skimmer back on it asap. I have been kicking around the idea of a Acua C Remora but I cant find one locally.

i think i'd rather take a chance with the coralife than an aqua-c remora. i had one and wasn't impressed. what size tank do you have again?

I was considering the 65 gal. Since my tank is a 40 gal (not including the 50 lbs rock) I figure it would have to work about 35 gals of water.

I'd go bigger than that. The bigger the better when it comes to skimming.
