What do you guys think about BLUE LOBSTERS?

From what I'm read so far it doesn't sound good. Aggressive, can go after fish, shrimp therefore not reef safe, etc.

A 14" critter is pretty big for my tank, I think. My book says that the lobster kills out of necessity, and seems to behave if well fed.

Most lobsters available are opportunistic omnivores. This means they will occasionally eat anything that presents itself a target. The second big issue it most of these lobsters do get large and live for quite a while. Thirdly, they are nocturnal and fairly cryptic.

I would personally lean towards a purple lobster or a slipper lobster for most tanks.

My purple lobster ate my yellowwatch man goby in less than 3 hours - that was my fault too; i introduced the goby late at night, and as cindre2000 said, most lobsters are opportunistic omnivores and will occasionally eat anything that present itself a target. well my goby was not familiar with his new house and just went straight to hell

I would not get a lobster unless you have a huge tank and plenty of rocks!
