about 3 weeks ago i bought some zoanthids, and since day one they always opened up completely, but lately they havent been opening up completely like they usually do. All my other corals seem better than ever, especially my mushrooms and my hammer coral. Nothing has changed, and i tested the water and everything seems fine. Should i move them to another part of the tank to see if they get better?

How high is your lighting. I had several types of Palythoas that would not open completely in my tank with 250w halide lights. When I moved them to another tank plumbed into the same system, but with PC lighting, they opened nicely after several days. If you think lighting may be the issue, move them to a lower spot and give them several days to adjust.

i agree. I got some pink zoas that everyone said needed high lighting to keep their color. i put them towards the top and lost half of the colony...i was puzzled myself, but when i realized the lfs kept them under 175w 20k mh and i myself used 250w 14k's, i knew they had to be acclimated to my lighting...

that might be it, i recently moved them higher up but for the first 4 or 5 days they opened up but now many are closed. I will try moving them lower, tomorrow morning.

Give them a couple more days to settle in. Nothing happens over night with corals. After moving my zoanthids to a lower lighting tank, it took 1-2 weeks for them to really begin opening better.
