Octopus NW 150 question

Hi everyone,

I have a newbie question.

What are your thoughts on using an Octopus NW 150 skimmer for a 55g tank with 75lbs of LR and 2" of LS. I want to have 4 - 5 fish (clowns, blennie, goby) or fish of similar size.

Hi Vicki and :welcome:

IMO that's a good choice for a budget skimmer on that tank. The pumps are not the best quality, but the overall value of the skimmer is tough to beat.

I have a recirc 150 on my 75g system and it works great. Honestly it is built like a TANK. THICK cast acrylic... good quality. My octopus pump has been great so far. I bout it almost exactly a year ago, and it is still working great.

IMO don't purchase it from the octopus link on this page. I did, and it took forever to get here.. out of stock.. all sorts of problems. Do youself a favor and get it from www.premiumaquatics.com
