I am debating on buying a canopy or getting a glass guy to come in and custom make one for me. Is this a process I can do myself and get a sheet of glass?
Now that I have a light without brackets (and soon getting snails) this is essential
I have a 46 gal Bow front 36" width
Take a look at this versa-top: [url=http://www.drsfostersmith.com...w.drsfostersmith.com/Product/p ... 3790&rel=1[/URL]
What does it mean by:
It also says it is easy to cut for custom shapes; I would need to do this to make room for the overflow.
Can I just buy a sheet of glass and do this myself, cut a straight line near the front so i can feed the fish and put glass tape or something to keep the pieces of glass together?
I am sort of handy but I wont know what type of tool I would use to cut glass, I imagine the answer is not a saw used to cut wood.
After probably having to buy a tool to cut glass I wonder if this option would be best to buy - or have a professional take care of it.
Thoughts on this?

Would that mean I could use the vinyl to add the "bow" section of the top?Includes a clear vinyl back strip to add approximately 2" to the total width of the Versa-Top glass canopies.
