Back again to this well of knowledge. Finally have a day off so I can work on my tanks. Building a reef 70 under a halide and with tons of cured (for 6 months) rock..Great corraline and lots of volunteer life. My questyion. O have pulsating zenia and lots of mushrooms, have ordered Zoos and a Crocea clam, and some tricolor Bali Acropora. I am moving my tame 3 year in another tank Black saddleback clown and his 2 friends the mated firefish into the 70 today. And a pistol shrimp who is 4 years in the 30 gallon. I inherited 2 damsels a blue and orange and a B&W striped. Will they live peacefully in the 70 or should I keep them in exite in my 20? I value your opinions. Thanks. I also have a 155 FOWLR tank with 6 big fish and I wonder if the damsels would be happier there? (Heniochus, Royal Dottyback, Yello tang, Blue Hepatus Tang, Threadfin butterfly and Lamarck Angelfish) I got them with a tank I bought last summer and the 2 tangs are getting healthier and healthier even though I never would have put them togehter in the first place. Thanks I'll stop rambling now

The Dascyllus is known for being very aggressive. As for the other damsel, I would need more information (a photo perhaps, or genus) to offer an opinion. In any event, the Dascy will be anything but peaceful, once it turns into a large piece of meat (pan fryer size).

The damsels might be alright in the larger tank, and if there's any fish that could hold up to the attentions of those tangs and angel fish, it would be the Dascyllus.

Thanks, I think the B&W one is Dascyllus melanurus. Feisy, did not even mind being caught. The blue and orange may beChrysiptera parasema. Each about 3/4 inch. Fast. Would they bother my shy Royal Gamma 3 inch speimen that hides in a log (plastic) and comes out for grub? I think you are right about not in the reef because I don't want to be breaking it down in a year or dive in with a spear, hahahah. Also here are pictures and one of my pistol shrimp thinking he is in heaven
Thanks

IME inch for inch theyre worse than sharks...Chromis are pretty doscile. i had an electric blue one in my tank a long long time ago..i was never able to catch it to get it out, so i left it...a month later it had killed 1 blue tang, 2 dispars, and a true perc...those little things can be evil i tell you..

Hmmm, I was considering putting the two of them in my bigtank but My sweet Royal Dottyback is so shy....maybe they need to go in my green growing tank and just stay there?
Opinions?
