What are these called?

I have little feather looking things (that seem to be able to attach and deattach where ever they like) all over the sides and back of my glass. They have hollow tubes within the feather like exterior. I cant seem to find any information or pictures on the internet to tell me what they are exactly. I know they are some type of tubeworm, but which one? And will they ever become feather dusters? Maybe someone can tell me...

Looks like Syphonoids.. A small hitchhiker sponge. A good thing. Hard to give a 100% ID with those pics though.

Well, if they move they aren't a sponge or any type of tubeworm that I know of and from the pictures it's hard to see details. Do they look like this?

No those are called brittle stars and i do have them, but these arent them. I think Q-Tip snonge might be close to accurate. They dont move, the current moves them, they can just fall off and land somewhere else and stick and be fine, is what i meant by move. Sorry for the miss use of words.

brittle stars? no, they look like little starfish. lawdog's pic is a type of sponge too. these in the picture are commonly called Q-tip sponges.

btw, they are harmless filter feeders, and a sign of a healthy aquarium.

My picture is of a common thing called hydroids but the close up pics help a lot. X is right, they are harmless sponges.

I cant remember where, i tried looking it up again, but during my search to identify the critters in my tank, i came across an article about micro brittle starfish which had pictures of those on the page. I don't know how accurate it was, but try looking up brittle starfish and see if anything comes up about micro brittle stars. I could be 100% wrong, but i got my info online. Ty for identifying my tank guests. I looked it up further, and you are dead on, they are Q-Tip Sponges. TY for responding to me

Micro brittle stars look just like large brittle stars only smaller. There is no mistake in ID when looking at a micro brittle star. Very small circle body, and 5 serpent like leggs. Only very very very small Like an inch spread out.
