I just started my first SW tank and it is still cycling. The rock came with many feather worms. They all appear healthy. Should I be adding anything to the water for them to eat? Like plankton? Also one of the pieces of rock has some hair algae on it. Would it be beneficial to the cycling process to leave it in there? or should I remove it? Thanks for the help everyone.

take the rock out with the hair algae, and scrub it off. you don't want that in your tank.
the fanworms will take care of themselves. you don't need to feed them.
good luck with your new tank!
