When we got our zoa it was little, the centers were a bright green
now they are only brown with white in centers. they are about 8months old
See pic below.

it has spread onto some of my live rock, thats cool the spread is now about 1/3 size of my original piece and I have a couple of single frags, i experimented with.

Got any suggestions.

37 Gal Red Sea Max
55 watt 15power fluoresents
1 watt per liter about 10,000k with 1:1 actnic blue (420mm)
two 550 lph pumps
protein skimmer

2 Fire Shrimp (8mo)
3 clown fish (not reallysure the actual name but have some black on thier tops) (9mo) had 4 lost one
1 Yellow tang (6mo) but having issues with him -some sort of fin rot
1 red sea scallop (4mo)
1 sand sifting star (6mo)
1 I dont know fish was told a goby of type but some told me it was a type of perch
1 brown/green zoa - well actually its spread to some of my live rock
1 who knows what type of coral cant remember - wife got it opened up for 2 months and since then no activity its tan type leathery thing with purple over it and it used to have little arms that were tan with flowering type green things on end. never could get a good pic.

The coral isn't getting enough light. The brown color is the symbiotic algea trying to maximize light absorption so the coral can survive.

I had 120W (65 white/65 actinic) over my 29 gallon aquarium to meet the requirements for soft corals and LPS.

I think you'll need much more light to get you're color back.
