Im looking into getting RODI unit , I noticed alot of them offer pressurized holding tanks in a combo. Is this necessary or can you set up the rodi and just empty the pure water into my mixing tub?

The reason most holding tanks are pressurized is to allow you to take water out of the holding tank, w/o a pump while the r/o unit is running. A non-pressurized holding tank is fine.

The bladder tank allow the RO to work for a few hours and hold the RO. When there is a demand for the RO, the processed water can be dispense rapidly. Otherwise, the RO can only trickle the water out. This is necessary for drinking water, since you don't want to hold the cup for 3 minutes for it to be filled. For aquarium usage, the bladder tank is not necessary unless.

Yea... not necessary for reef setups. I just put my bucket in my trash can to get water out.. or you could use an old pump or something to pump it out for you. Pump is also good for stirring up salt.
