Lighting Expert Needed...

Im setting up a 42 gal hexonal tank... the stock light strip is a single 18 inch coralife 50/50...i plan on keepin corals on down the road, what would be my best light option?.. im also interested in getting moon lights.. any advice or experience with these??.. thank you

go with t5ho, or a single 150 watt metal halide.

I'm not sure of the lfs you have there in Lexington, but there is an excellent one over in Bowling Green. Mitch will be more than happy to talk lighting with you. Also seem to remember that you have a reef club in your area. Maybe you should check into that.

i would go with a 250 watt MH pendant. the tank is 25 inches deep. a 150 is selling yourself short. these lights are nice-

MR X, with that link, it says close to the bottom that the metal halide ballast is sold seperately.. if i were to go with this set up, what else would i need to purchase to complete the kit??.. and thanks, this site is great, everyother site ive gotten mediocre advice.. one mroe thing would this set up work -http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~CU01060.html
