Can someone please list the salt-water heaters that are actually made in Germany? Are Eheim Jagers and/or Aqua Medics manufactured there? Others?

Thanks

Well, I ended up with Italian made heaters...

I can let you know, in a few months, what I think of them. (I'm still getting set up.)

Interesting. Are they in plastic cases? I guess that's to protect against knocks and keep fish from sitting right against them if you have them in the display tank.

Personally I'd never use those Fluval things...not when there's Ebo Jaeger/Eheim with a decades long track record, and I've been using them for several of those decades with nary a problem.
They might do just fine for you, but there's no reason to experiment IMO.

My web searching/research indicated the track record was broken with the Eheim Jager. Too bad. Time to go with electronic rather than with the always less reliable mechanical.

Let us know down the road how you like them...I may switch myself! :D

Yeah you have that backwards...that's not really how things tend to work out when more electronics are crammed into something unfortunately.
Still I hope you have a good experience with them.

I have stayed away from glass after having two crack on me. I now use the Visatherm stealth (black plastic) heaters and haven't had any problems.

They do that when you turn them on without an actual real life tank to put them in. :P

Yes. Glass tube inside a plastic protective case.
