In my tank at the moment i have 2 cleaner shrimp 6 turbo snails and 10 cerith snails.

I added the 2nd cleaner shrimp on Sunday.
My tank has been running for 4.5 weeks.

Here is my dilemma. The cleaner shrimp have taken to hanging out under one of the really big rocks in the tank. the rock forms a nice little cave for them. The only problem is... the cave faces the BACK WALL of the tank!

so I just want to turn the rock around.

Is this ok to do?
Should I wait for the new shrimp to settle in before i move anything?
are there any considerations that I should be aware of?

move the rock n they will still hang out in the back.
let it be. they will come out when they'r ready.
they will feed from your hand after awhile.u can't get them to leave u alone when that happens.

Go ahead and turn it around just make sure you dont kill the little fellow by falling rock. Shrimps get acustom to a new environment really quickly. How long have you had the shrimps? I personally think that after adding cleaner shrimps after 4.5 weeks might be a bit risky. They never worked out for me in that short period of time. But good luck and happy reefkeeping.

Ive had one for like 3 weeks and the other for 3 days

why do you think its risky? do you think i should wait?

The "older" shrimp is like that, he will eat from my hand "clean" my hand.

You realy think they will just hang in the back the whole time? the pair of them sometimes hang out under a diffret rock, that faces the front.

they will realy just keep going to the back?

I just reaquascaped my tank trying to get my clowns to move from the left of my tank to swim all around. I removed a couple of big rocks where the shrimp I have used to hang around. The shrimp don't really mind you moving the rock they will just find another place to hide. They will come out when the lights go out and when you feed the tank.

So the shrimp ARE afraid of the light? i thought so.

I just installed some DIY night lights for my tank. last night when i turned them on, and the regular and room lights off. Petunia (the shy shrimp) started wondering around the tank!!

thanks all for the good info
