New Set-up

Hello everyone--

I just joined--have extensive experience with freshwater tanks but looking to get started with a smaller-to-nano sized reef tank. Probably 24 gallons is the largest I can go given my current accommodations. Any recommendations as to set ups? I've been considering the aquapods and nano-cubes (with upgraded lighting) but is there anything else I should look into for moderate (but not too cheap) prices?

I have the 24 pod with 150 MH lighting and I like it quite a bit. It's 330 from dr foster and smith and the shipping is 17 bux.

I have a nanocube 24. First , I modded the canopy to 132watts pc. Then i got I got rid of it and got a 150 watt MH fixture with 2-24 watt T5 actinic. Although I like the look of the tank, i think you're better off getting a Oceanic Cube and accessorize it with whatever you want. Also, if you upgrade the lighting with the canopy it came with, You will most likely face heat issues. Lastly, if you plan on taking pics (especially macro), the curved glass distorts the image and makes it hard to take great pics. JMO.
