I don't if it's possible for enough hair to get caught on the impellars of your powerheads, pumps, etc...but that might be a problem if it stops them :(. Other than that I don't see what a little hair could do that would be bad for the tank. Of course I could be completely wrong :).

I get cat hair in the tank all the time, especially because when I go to wipe my hands off and then place them back in the tank, as the towels usually have cat hair on them. Never had a problem but like Kris said the power heads and pumps will pick up the cat hair and get cloaked, so you need to clean them out every so often.

Not sure where you live or your lifestyle, however, where we live people will put frontline on their dogs and cats to prevent fleas and ticks. Obviously that can present a problem if your cat has been treated with any topical medication.

Your cats might get use to RO and protest faucet water, this could be a disaster... They might even demand bottled distilled water... Monitor cats for the next 2 days... May the force be with you...

Bob! What is wrong with you?

Duke, you can scoop the hair out with a net. I wouldn't worry about it though.. I'm sure all of us that have hairy pets get hair in our tanks. Especially those of us who have cats. Cats go every where. My cats would even walk on top of my tanks before. They don't anymore.
