The only thing you have 100% total control over in this hobby is the water you add to the tank. Everything else is up in the air. Batches of salt, livestock, equipment failure, etc. TDS is not a measure of PO4.
I always find it funny to see people test their tank for PO4 when they don't even test their RO/DI which hasn't been changed in a year. yf1 is doing the right thing. Nice job.
