ive had my tank together for a week now, the first few days my skimmer was making a foam or something foamy maybe just bubbles. today i looked at it and there wassnt foam, i turned the air up and it didnt do anything..was the first few days like a adjusting time, or did it break
i have a Tom Aquatics Rapids Pro Series PS3 wet/dry skimmer it was working great till today

Sometimes there just isnt anything to skim. Your tank has only been setup for a week, and you have no fish in it right??? Your live rock is cured so there shouldnt be any waste die-off from that. I would just leave the skimmer alone for now.

(it may also be breaking in. sometimes new skimmers have oils in them from the factory that need to wear away before an effective skim may be achieved.)

Meg, why dont you post some pics of your setup so ppl can see what you have.

I would say that if the first few days it was going nuts and then stopped then you have nothing left in the tank to skim. The skimmer pulls out organic material that is in the water. So no skim, means clean water, well organically speaking.
