funky smell

so i got a rubbermade thing its about 10gallons. i put water mix salt powe head and heater and now i think the water smells rummerish, is that good or bad?? or m i bugging

I would say bad... It is possible the chemicals in the plastic are leaching out into the water and that is what you are smelling.

I would recommend a good old bucket from home depot or lowes, but if you want to get fancy, the best containers are PVC or Polyethylene

yea i cant have like 4 g gal buckets chiling in my hosue and then i hav to get more power heads...it doesnt smell now
