Looking to set up PhosBan reactor. I know you need a water flow of 80 GPH. What pump are people using? I was thinking of buying the Eheim 1046 hobby pump which is dependable and the correct water flow needed. I was told by Drs Foster and Smith this pump has been discontinued.

i use a minijet and dial down the flow

I agree with the minijet 404. That's what we offer with the Phosban Reactors. Anything bigger will need to be dialed down so much that it is a waste of money to go larger. You don't want the Phosban in an aggressive flow. All you want is for the VERY top layer to GENTLY tumble.

I use a MJ 600 and daisy chain two PO4 reactors together. First one carbon, second one phosban. I find that works very well. The head pressure of two PO4 reactors makes the MJ600 a good choice in that particular application.
