Diatom filter reccomendations

Anyone reccomend a good diatom filter they've used in the past?

You still use these things?? I use mine for sea water, when I do collect it once in a while..

Oh okay...Waters pretty decent in tottenville off Hyland after the first hour of high tide...Have you noticed a better time or area???

Water decent in SI?? what about all the rain water run off from the landfills??:skull:

Landfills closed, but not gone though....And what about the run off from the streets anywhere in ny or around the world for that matter??

That is why I mix my own water and would not use salt water collected around here :lol2:.

I would think there are a LOT MORE toxins coming out of the landfill than typical street storm drains. A diatom filter is not going to filter out toxins, only particles.

Yes that is true...But I haven't had any problems....Actually I noticed corals getting brighter (acros that is) this week...The fish don't seem to mind it...Maybe those toxins are like a natural zeo system...lol
