My opinion is buy the best , I like Euro-reef ever had a problem with it pick up a used one rated for you're tank. Good luck

Opinions on which in-sump protein skimmer working well in your 120 gallon system. Now that I see few brands, I'll trying to keep it under $400. Seems alot of the bigger names ATI, DAS, H&S...etc are indeed very expensive.

H&S A150 is great for a 120 but it will cost you 700 plus shipping. Look into used skimmers. Like you said ATI, Deltec or H&S. A buddy of mine has an ATI BM200 that he wants to sell. under $300, you are looking at used ones. So just keep your eyes open for deals on all of the skimmers mentioned above. Euro Reef, Aqua C , H&S, GSM are all good candidates. make sure they are not craked & check for foot print, hopefully it goes under your stand & is easy to maintain/clean.

I also have a 120 with a 35 gal sump. I purchased a MRC MR2 from Tony at Reef Exotics the price was a little over $300 I am very satisfied with the skimmer and his service. My Nitrates, phosphastes and nitrites are 0. It took a few days of tweeking as I was new to Salt water however I am satisfied with my choice of MRC. Made in the USA.

I like US made beckett skimmers -- Barr Aquatics, one of the best Beckett skimmer you can buy.

You need to do some research on MRC's crappy products. People who have used other skimmers and are honest about their opinions will tell you MRC suck.
