remora pro not skimming

hello i have a remora pro thats stopped producing foam now for a month. ive tried cleaning the cup and tower and nothing. ive cleaned the pump and nothing. it just wont produce foam, any ideas?

There is a screw at the top of the elbow that attaches to the pump. Take that screw out, and clean the hole with a small brush. Make sure to unplug the pump first, or you'll have water shooting out all over the place. Try that....

Yup, and if that doesnt work, take a few quarts of vinegar, mix it with an equal amount of water in a bucket, put the skimmer in the bucket and run it for 3-4 hours. Then replace the mix with freshwater and run the skimmer to rinse it out. I did this when my remora stopped skimming and it worked wonders.

tried to unscrew it and the screw head broke off. so now half the screw is in the pipe. what shoukd i do now?

i whould just clean like pudge said and if that dont work then the plug will have to broken remove with a easy out ,

The screw that I am talking about in my remora is a white plastic screw. I would imagine that you could score it with something to make a groove in it to fit a screw driver in it. But PLEASE get someone else's input before you ruin your remora.

haha well the srew is already broken so cant get much worse. i will try and drill it out but i need a new screw first

:Yikes: I would be so afraid of breaking the skimmer by drilling into that screw!

drill a hole in the middle of the screw then usea easy out bit into the hole and back it out, home depot has plastic screws, i think its a 5/16 screw

heat the end of a small screw driver and put a little slit to make a groove in it to un-screw it

just did the vinegar soak. i think that did the job, loks better already. thanks all
