has anyone ever kept a green carpet anemone in a tank with a single 96watt pc light the tank is a 46 bow the anemone has been in there for a week now and looks great it has attached itself to the rocks and back panel half way up the tank about 12 inches from the light
I thought all anemones didnt require bright light but just did a search and found I was wrong .

HOw big is your carpet?
I ask, b/c although I know very little,it sounds to me like you will need to get rid of it, so, I would take him off your hands if he is little.
Best of Luck, Hope he's ok with your lighting.

Carpets require strong lighting, not liking the chances with only 96 watts. Bubble tip anemones are a better option with lower lighting condition, but even then I would make sure your tank is well established.

I currently have a Neon Green Carpet, but it is kept under 250W MH lighting. Almost all anemones require strong lighting. In the mean while you could supplement it by feeding it meaty iteams (this is if you're planning to upgrade to a stronger lighting).

The anemone will go where it wants. If its happy it will stay put :) The halide is fine and also as mentioned regular feeding will help it alot too :) If you see its starting to fade then sell it before it bleaches itself out. From the sound of it you should be ok :)
