Do you want to put it up under the sink or above the sink?

If under sink, it better you asked for a professional installer.
If above the sink, the most important part is the parts that is suitable to fit the tap. Some tap has no adapter made to split off to the filter. Show a pic of the tap to the filter vendor, they can find out if they have the parts. You can call Buckeye after you send the pic-waiting for reply by emails from them could mean couple days later. So call after you send the pic.

Yes, if you split off the tap you loose a lot of water pressure and thus, sometimes, you may need a pressure pump and many more auto shut off thingie there after.

I have both LOL One in the basement and 1 under the kitchen sink. The added benefit of it being under the sink is that you have nice clean drinking water as well. Its not hard to do if you decide to go that route. Im not sure about the pressure part but logically if you have it hooked up to your sink and the water wide open you will have the same pressure thats in the rest of your plumbing throughout the house.
