Need help with RODI filter

I am not sure how to hook this thing up to the water line. Im reading the directions fine but I am slightly bothered that I have to pierce the coldwater line and drill the drain line.

Is there any way that I could hook this up without damaging the plumbing, because im renting and dont want to have to replace all these pipes.

No, you do not need to pierce the pipes to hook up your Rodi..you can use one of these that also enable you to use the faucet even when your rodi is hooked up.

I assume you hook that up to the cold water line. Do you just run the excess bad water down the drain?

I figured it out and bought the faucet adapter, MUCHHHHH easier than putting holes in my land lords pipes. For the first time I ever I was actaully patient.

Another option would be to use a brass T fitting for the cold water line. They're sold at Home Depot for hooking up fridges w/water & ice makers. Totally reversable.
