Hi what is the waste water hose for ? In the instructions it says it's should have back pressure and some people plug it up . I just don't understand why it's there if you just plug it up ? HELP

The waste water hose should be for the brine/waste water that doesn't get pushed through the RO membrane. Mine goes into the sink. maybe i'm missing something but I dont know what would happen if you plugged it up

If you plugged it up it couldn't expel waste water and with either not produce any water, produce very little water or expel the waste through the RO membrane, thereby dirtying it very quickly and causing you to need to buy a new one.

Place the waste hose down the drain of your sink

do not plug it up or it defeats the purpose of the filter. the waste water goes to the drain. waste water(orange) to filter water(blue) is approx 4 to 1.

If you would rather not waste the waste water you can stick it in your washing machine or some other creative way to use it. Personally mine just goes down the drain.

I've started using the waste water to water plants, wash equipment, drinking water for my dog, fill my turtle tank, and my mom's fresh water tank.

Yea im currently running my first rodi now and I didnt realize how long it takes to make any significant amount of water. I guess I didnt take the 125 gpd literally
