Help picking a tank

Trying to pick a tank. Looking at 120g 48" X 24" or a 135g 72" X 18".

What would be better? The extra length or the extra width? I want to eventually be able to house fish, inverts & corals. :help:

I personally go with surface area. I would go with the 120g.

what about a 72 x 24 x 24... If you have the room for 72 long and 24 deep... do both... get a nice 180

The extra length/swimming room would be good for tangs etc. yet the extra depth provides more options for aquascaping. But the 180 gal. would solve the dilemna.

Ya that basically sums it up, some fish(and most tangs)seem a little unhappy with only 48" of length but the extra depth looks better IMO and leaves room for rock and corals(if you keep to this hobby,you will find that coral "real estate" is very valuable.)

Ok so I'm new here and I'm looking into buy a tank also. Anybody have an opinion on perfecto tanks. They are a quite a bit less than the oceanic tanks. Granted the stands arent as nice but I'm not that concerned with the beauty of the stand. The stands are a bit cheap looking but like I said I dont mind as long as the tank itself isnt garbage.
