anemone moved

anemone now not eating

my tank has been running around 8 months livestock in for 4 months
my anemone found it's spot 4 months ago and never budged , this morning
checking on the livestock i find the anemone stuck to my refugium pump
it wouldn't come off . i had to pull the cover off the pump to release the anemone from the pump. got home from work and the anemone is open and seems to be fine but it's behind my rock work . is this common for them to move after they found a spot , and what do i need to look for in the coming days other than the obvious .

well my concern now is if it is going to be ok
i guess my clowns will have to be patient

the clowns will find it. what type of ph was it ? and do you have covers on the intakes ?

I think he meant ph as in powerhead

anyway something may have made him unhappy or he might have just decided to move but its good to check things out anyway.

Just as long as it can get light where it is and a snack it will be ok.

Anemones will move around periodically in order to suite their light/feeding needs.

i tried with silver sides , mysis ans brine shrimp with a baster i'm lost
don't want to lose this guy

About six months ago I too bought a bubble tip anemone. It was fine for about four months, then it started moving, and ended up away from the lights for about two months, then all of a sudden it moved towards the light and so far is that way for a couple of weeks and is eating small pieces of shrimp and getting bigger...

...no idea what triggered this...

it opens up then closes itself up all day long , it never did this before it was always open wide and it's arms look small not as long as they were i think it's stressed

Yeah that mine never did. Anyone else on the board knows whats going on?
Did you provide the group with your water parameters?

i will check my parameters tonight
the last time i checked was about a 2 weeks ago everything looked good will post tonight or in the morning

Nick my new anemone is doing similar things. It retracts/shrinks for a short while each day (sometimes twice per day.) is this normal? I've read that it is somewhat normal and a way for it to cleanse/regulate itself. Been in tank for less than a week
