lol well i went to shovel, and i came back and i saw some water, not to much, but my house is old, and stand isnt lvl so i put things under it to make it lvl, and when water gets out, it goes under, i so think one day my floor is gonna bust and my tank will fall through

i have two hang on back filters which i had from my freshwater days. i think it definitely doesnt hurt to have them. i have some carbon, chemi pure, purigen, and alot of those ceramic rings that build up bacteria. just make sure you change the carbon chemi pure and purigen since they will build up bacteria when they get exhausted

I dont see what is so wrong with running a hang on filter with a poly filter pad in it to catch debris? I use this method in my AP and it works great. Just have to change it/rinse it out every week.

agreed. it definitely doesn't hurt. especially if it's just laying around

well i had a extra aquaclrea for a 20 gal around, so i put it on i know my tank is way bigger, but i just put a media bag of carbon and jamed in on the tank and called it a night
